Loop and RCD testing

Fast, reliable Loop and RCD Testing for safer electrical installations

Ensure compliance and electrical safety with our advanced Loop and RCD testers, designed for fast, accurate, and hassle-free testing in live circuits. Whether you're performing high-current loop testing, non-tripping RCD verification, or combined safety checks, our testers provide precise results without unnecessary downtime. With rugged, weatherproof designs, user-friendly interfaces, and advanced noise filtering, they help electrical professionals work safely and efficiently across residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Reduce risk, improve workflow, and test with confidence using our trusted range of Loop and RCD testers.

A loop tester measures earth loop impedance, helping electricians assess fault current levels and verify circuit protection settings. An RCD tester checks residual current devices (RCDs) by simulating fault conditions to ensure they trip within the required time and current limits. Some models, like those in the LRCD200 series, combine both functions for versatile safety testing.

Non-tripping loop testing works by using a special low-current test method that avoids reaching the RCD’s trip threshold. Instead of injecting a high test current, which could activate the RCD, the tester applies a carefully controlled signal that allows it to calculate loop impedance without disrupting power. This method ensures accurate results while keeping RCD-protected circuits operational, making it ideal for sensitive installations where avoiding power interruptions is crucial.

Yes, many of our loop and RCD testers are compatible with single-phase and three-phase electrical systems. Models such as the LT300 series and LRCD220 support three-phase loop impedance testing, providing accurate results across a wide voltage and frequency range.

Our loop and RCD testers are built to meet CAT III and CAT IV safety standards, ensuring they can be safely used in domestic, commercial, and industrial environments. They also feature rugged, weatherproof casings to withstand harsh job site condition
