About the product

The app provides a one-stop solution for industrial asset testing of power cables, generator motors, substation transformers, and much more.

When connected to an instrument over Bluetooth, CertSuite Asset allows you to create graphs and reports live while a test is being performed. It can also receive sets of results that have been stored in the instrument if connected after the testing has finished.

CertSuite Asset can be used offline without a connection to the internet. It will upload any data to the secure cloud when internet connection has been restored. The software is mobile-friendly and can be used on any device in a browser and on Android and Apple iOS devices via the App Stores.

CertSuite Asset will store test records for insulation resistance (IR), DAR, PI, DD, inductance, PDC and many more tests performed by the compatible products, such as the S1 and MIT series, DLRO2X, MIT2500 and MIT430/2.

There is no limit on the number of test results and job information which can be stored on our secure cloud-based Microsoft™ Azure™ platform. This data is secure, even if the instrument breaks or is lost. Synchronising through the cloud allows simultaneous job access for multiple users (licence required per user).

If your product does not integrate with CertSuite Asset, you can enter your test results manually. Unlike results that come directly from the instrument, manually entered results can be edited at any time.

When it comes to reporting, you can choose the way the results are represented to ensure you get the best value from the results, for example PDC test results can be displayed in a logarithmic graph. The online reports can also be customised with logos and branding and will include the client and inspector details, and you can choose whether to include signatures, making them suitable for internal records and sharing with customers.

You will soon be able to set up sequences of tests, and you will have flexibility over which users can create and edit these test sequences and which users can only follow them.
GPS on your phone will automatically record the precise location of where the tests are carried out.

How is CertSuite Asset different from CertSuite Installation?

Both CertSuite Asset and CertSuite Installation enable quick and easy reporting of test and measurement results. CertSuite Installation generates certification for low voltage installations, whereas CertSuite Asset creates graphs and reports for industrial assets such as power cables, motors and transformers.

Which Megger products are compatible with CertSuite Asset?

Currently CertSuite Asset supports Megger’s insulation testers: S1, MIT430, MIT2500, MIT525 and Megger’s low resistance tester: DLRO2X.

How do I sign up?

CertSuite Asset is available on a free trial If you want to continue using it after that, you will need one licence per person using CertSuite.  You can subscribe and pay annually or monthly by going to the Licences page in the Admin section of CertSuite in a web browser.

How is CertSuite Asset Lite different from CertSuite Asset?

CertSuite Asset Lite is the free version of CertSuite Asset, it has reduced functionality with the following features not available:

Observations, for example photographs and notes cannot be added to test results

Cloud synchronisation

Test groups

Online reporting, instead, a basic PDF/CSV/JSON Data report is available

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored in the CertSuite cloud which runs in Microsoft Azure. Azure is used by thousands of companies all over the world, and is known to be robust and secure. CertSuite uses Azure datacentres within the UK.

How can I see changes that my colleagues, who are working on the same job as me, have made?

If you and your colleagues have good connections to the internet, you will all see each other’s contributions to the job you are working on. Your data and your colleagues’ data are sent up to the cloud every 90 seconds, so within 3 minutes you should see each other’s latest work.

How do I work offline?

While you have good connection to the internet, CertSuite Asset will send your new data up to the cloud every 90 seconds and pull down anything new done by your colleagues working on the same job. If you are working offline, CertSuite Asset will continue to store your data on your mobile device or computer. When you next have a good internet connection, CertSuite Asset will send up all your changes to the job you have ‘open’ and pull down changes from your colleagues. There’s an excellent video on this in the ‘How To’ section.

How do I buy more licences?

Log on to CertSuite Asset in a web browser with your usual details and open the ‘Admin’ tab and choose ‘Account Management’. This will open up on the ‘Licences and Payment’ page. Choose whether to buy annual licences or monthly licences and select the number you need – which is one per active user. If you already have an overdue invoice for some licences, you will have to pay this before you can buy more licences.

How can I work faster?

There are many tips and tricks to help you work faster with CertSuite Asset. For example, you can copy an old job as the starting point for a new one, you can set up Circuit Templates which will fill in many of the fields on each circuit, you can quickly set up a distribution board with as many circuits as needed in a few clicks of your mouse.
