Hannover is a hit for Megger and Programma!

Mark Johnson - Marketing manager
With the launch of more than 20 new products, all of which generated enthusiastic interest, and a record number of enquiries received, Megger and Programma’s attendance at this year’s Hannover Fair – Europe’s premier industrial and technical exhibition – has been hailed as a resounding success.
The fair also served to further strengthen the position of Programma in the key German market, and to provide potential users in the power sector with an insight into the latest developments from this progressive organisation.
“After an absence of many years, it was great to be back at Hannover,” said Megger’s Group Marketing Services Manager, Nick Hilditch, “and the results certainly exceeded all our expectations. The response from the visitors to the stand, and their enthusiasm for both Megger and Programma was nothing short of fantastic! We’re planning to make Hannover a regular fixture in our marketing calendar.”
Among the products launched at Hannover were Megger’s new ranges of transformer and cable fault test equipment. Also on the stand were the new Programma Freja306 relay test sets, which together with Megger MPRT, means that Megger now offers the most complete range of relay test equipment available today.
Experts from Megger and Programma were on hand throughout the exhibition to explain product benefits to the visitors, and to advise them on the best way to address their own specific requirements.
“The queries we received from visitors were very insightful,” said Rickard Jonsson, Megger and Programma’s European Sales Director, “and clearly demonstrated that most of them had current applications that could beneficially be addressed by our equipment. Naturally, we’ll be following up all of these enquiries, and we confidently expect to generate a significant amount of new business as a result.”
Hannover Fair is, by a large margin, the largest and best-attended industrial and technological exhibition in Europe. This year’s fair had 5,100 exhibitors and was attended by around 200,000 visitors, an increase of 30% over 2006, which was the last fair of comparable scope.
