First, check that the batteries are charged and properly installed, or confirm the AC power cord is connected if your unit uses mains power. If it still won’t power up, try resetting the instrument (if applicable) or consult the user manual. If the problem continues, contact Megger technical support.
Unusual or inconsistent readings can sometimes be caused by test setup, environmental conditions, or faulty leads. Double-check your connections and repeat the test. If results are still off, your instrument may require calibration — which should be done at an authorized Megger service center.
Most test instruments should be calibrated annually to ensure accuracy, but the interval can depend on how frequently the instrument is used and in what conditions. Heavy use or harsh environments may require more frequent calibration.
