GISmonitor - Partial Discharge Monitoring System

On-line PD monitoring of gas-insulated switchgear
The GISmonitor is a fully automated, continuous on-line partial discharge (PD) monitoring system for Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS)

Parallel monitoring of all PD sensors located in one or more GIS ensures that each signal picked up by the UHF sensors is measured and stored for later analysis. The data measured in a particular moment by each sensor can be easily viewed with few clicks.

Each acquisition cabinet can be connected up to 120 UHF sensors, few cabinets can monitor even the biggest of the GIS. Low effort during installation and maximum efficiency during monitoring phase.

Raid technology avoids loss of acquired data, the fiber optic ring network ensures that the controller cabinet is constantly connected to the acquisition ones, the uninterruptible power supplies keep the cabinets on during shut downs.

The modular concept of the GISmonitor allows easy and quick extension of the PDMS, be it by increasing the number of channels connected to the existing cabinets or by installing new ones.

Through the ICMexpert software a database of known defects helps the user in automatically recognize the kind of PD that has been measured. A separation of PD events from external disturbances or internal switching is provided by the advanced GISmonitor software.
