TDM Series
The TDM Series combines VLF withstand testing, Tan Delta insulation assessment and advanced partial discharge diagnostics in a single integrated platform. This allows asset owners to move beyond simple pass/fail testing and gain a complete understanding of cable condition, insulation ageing and emerging defects. By uniting testing and diagnostics in one system, engineers can carry out commissioning, condition assessment and maintenance planning without switching equipment or compromising accuracy.
Using VLF CR/Slope and DAC excitation methods, the TDM Series delivers highly sensitive partial discharge measurements that clearly identify and locate weak points such as defective joints, poor terminations and insulation degradation. These methods closely simulate power-frequency conditions while minimising unnecessary stress on aged cables. This ensures more reliable PD localisation, earlier fault detection and safer decision-making when assessing cables nearing the end of their service life.
The TDM Series is available in multiple configurations, from portable systems to fully integrated van, trailer or container solutions. Optimised models for 22 kV and 36 kV networks ensure compatibility across a wide range of MV infrastructures. The system can also be combined with fault location platforms such as PRIMEON and CENTRIX EVOLUTION, allowing users to build a scalable and future-ready diagnostic solution tailored to operational needs, geographic constraints and testing volume.
Engineered for modern MV networks, the TDM Series supports standard-compliant testing of cable lengths up to 30 km, making it particularly suited to long feeder circuits and renewable energy installations. Its high output performance and large capacitive load handling enable reliable testing of extensive cable systems without performance compromise, helping operators confidently assess large-scale infrastructure while maintaining compliance with relevant international standards.
