The Ferrolux FLG12 and FLG50 audio frequency generators are versatile, portable devices providing solutions for operators of power and telecommunication cable systems, and for public utility gas and water companies.
Couple these devices with the Ferrolux Rx audio receiver to easily manage all kinds of localisation problems, including cable tracing, cable selection, location of cable faults or location of metallic pipelines. Select the 12 W or 50 W model depending on the power output required for your application. For higher power output applications the FLG250 is available as part of our PRIMEON cable testing system.
The Ferrolux FLG12 and FLG50 can transmit all available frequencies simultaneously, meaning there is no need to switch frequencies manually on the transmitter while tracing the line. Together with the Ferrolux RX audio frequency receiver, the system uses location methods like SuperMax and SignalSelect for identification of the direction of signal current. This guarantees precise tracing, even above a bunch of cables. A pulsed signal allows for clear identification of the transmitter signal in a noisy environment.
The Ferrolux FLG12 and FLG50 transmitters have an integrated antenna for inductive coupling of the signal. A large colour display and the proven EasyGo menu allows for intuitive operation.
The instrument measures and displays the loop impedance of the test object, output voltage and current, and phase angle. The system can be continuously operated when feeding capacitive loads (insulated gas pipes) or inductive loads (shorted cables) with no overheating problems.
