Monitor Transformer Gases to Prevent Disruptions & Explosions
Monitoring transformer gases is crucial for preventing unexpected failures and ensuring the safety and reliability of power systems. Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) provides early warnings of developing faults, allowing proactive maintenance to avoid costly disruptions and potential transformer explosions.
Join us for a free webinar presented by Megger Middle East, where we will explore essential gas monitoring techniques that help assess transformer health and enhance operational safety.
What You'll Learn:
-
The importance of gas monitoring in preventing transformer failures.
-
How DGA helps detect early signs of electrical and thermal faults.
-
Best practices for sampling, analyzing, and interpreting gas data.

William Morse
A graduate of Concordia University in Montreal, Will began his career at Morgan Schaffer as a lab technician analyzing transformer oil samples for dissolved gases. Soon, he was promoted to Laboratory manager. Will ran the Morgan Schaffer DGA lab for 10 years. He then moved the position of Director Sales and Marketing for Morgan Schaffer for 8 years. In this position he helped build markets for the company around the world. Will then moved to Neoptix/Qualitrol where he was initially Director of sales for Asia for Neoptix of their winding hot spot monitoring systems but then moved to Rochester to help develop a DGA testing lab for Qualitrol’s DGA monitor. Will then moved to EHT International, a start up company as Vice President Sales and Marketing. There he introduced to the world the innovative technology of a condition monitor / motor operator for HV disconnect switches. He then moved to Mersen where he was in charge of developing the transit market for Mersen as PTRV North American sales manager, dealing with Alstom, Siemens and Bombardier along with the major transit systems found in New York City, Chicago, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. Will is very happy to join Megger this past year as Global Business Development manager (DGA).
